We met out horses today and went out for our first trail ride. We learned that Aimee doesn't listen well and that Huey is really fast. We trotted a bit and even cantered a few laps. Sam's stirrups were too long, even after they made new holes. She didn't appreciate the trotting or cantering. When I looked back she was almost in tears with how bad her back was hurting since her feet couldn't stay in the stirrups.
Free time consisted of a few trips in the pool, bareback riding and other random yard games. I enjoyed a 30 minute cat nap.
After dinner we had casino night which ended with an auction. Sam won a Snickers, Twix and Dr. Pepper. We had to bid on the smaller items since others had 300+ more chips than we did combined.
What a bummer about the stirrups! At least there was candy at the end of the night to soothe a sore back!
