Feathered
It's the newest fad. They come in all colors and bird like shadings. We stopped at Fantastic Sam's to get Seth's hair cut. I didn't feel like cutting it myself this time. I should, but was a little on the lazy side. Sam asked to cut her hair like mine and when asked how short she wanted it, she put her hand at the middle of her head. Ok - maybe not that short I told the stylist. Her sides are longer than her back and turned out good. On the way out she asked for a feather. Okay, it's kinda cute to be honest.

Three Out, Three to Go
Smile Buddy! For in less than a hour your smile won't be the same...
Two upper right teeth and one lower right tooth extracted.
Next Monday... three more.
Seth did a great job! He chose a bubble gum mask for his laughing gas and told them to wake him up once they were done. The worst part was his mouth being sleepy for a couple hours after leaving.
His puffy little face he asked if he could stay home from school. It was 11am when he was all done. How could I say no to his cute little self? We went to Target and he got an Air Hogs Jet Set that flies 100 ft into the air and french fries from McDonalds because they are easy to chew.
With his teeth under the pillow he wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy.
Dear Tooth Fairy
can I keep
my teeth thank
you.
by: Seth
In return he found $12 under his pillow for his three teeth plus a fourth that fell out a month ago but never found its way under his pillow.

It's the little things
I haven't been feeling well so decided to take a nap with Adelynn. I was just about passed out when Chloe started growling and the big dogs nails were scraping across the hard wood floors.Great! Who is here?
By the time I got to the back door the person was gone. In his or her place sat a tall purple box. Ohhh... present :)
The box contained two dozen roses with a "Sometimes the unknown is a surprise in itself" note.
I made a call to Nick to see if they were from him. If not, I had no idea where to start. Yes, indeed, they were from my husband. He loves me!

Becoming Self Sufficient
Often times while feeding Adelynn,
she bats our hands away.
Today she was so hungry after sleeping 8 hours
and 38 minutes (at six weeks old) she decided
to not bat at my hand
and instead hold her bottle herself.
It isn't even resting on herself.
I wasn't ready to let her take that step towards becoming self sufficient,
so I continued to hold the bottle
after snapping the picture.

Seth's Habitat Presentation
I'm writing about the Humpback whale. Humpback whales are my favorite because I like riding on a school bus. A humpback whale is as big as a school bus. Humpback whales live in the ocean. They are feet long and weigh 150 tons. It is black and white with blubber. It lives 20 years. One of the things I found out they are strong swimmers. They can't see well. I think it is interesting they can stay under the water for 30 minutes. I hope you like my paper.

Seth "Any questions?"
Seth: "Lindsey"
Lindsey V.: "What do they eat?"
Seth: "Um they eat small fish, krill and small shrimp?"
Seth: "Other Lindsey"
Lindsey S.: "How deep can they go in the water?"
Seth "Um... I don't know."

There is always a shadow
Have we even had a winter this year? The calendar says it should be winter now, but that doesn't seem to be the case. We received a few inches of snow in November, a few dustings that never seem to stick for long. There have been only a couple really chilly days but for the most part this winter has been lacking snow and holding in the mid 30's.
Today is the day we alway hope that Punxsutawney Phil doesn't see his shadow. Does he this year... but of course! Another six weeks of "winter".4

Arthur
Sam's drawing of Arthur. Not bad for a six and a half year old girl. Oh, I am to point out that those are his backpack straps by his bowtie.
