My Tiny Dancers

Every so often we get a special treat at home. Sam and Adelynn will choreograph a dance for us. They’re so cute when they do these dances. It usually starts with demands to gather and sit. Then a lot of giggles.

Today’s song was “Let You Down” by NF (whoever that dude is... it’s a pretty good song.) I had to explain to Sam that the video didn’t mean the dad just stood watching as his child drown. That the drowning was a metaphor for how the child felt growing up. That he was never heard and that he wished he made his parents proud. The song is specifically in relation to NF and his parents. Where his mother struggled with substance abuse and her boyfriend was abusive. It’s a pretty sad song overall.

I’m proud of all of my babies. Life is hard and they are paving their paths to a great future.
