Going Wild

Minnesota Wild are coming to Northfield! So on a 87 degree day we sat in line outside the ice arena to get signatures from Defenseman Clayton Stoner and goaltender Darcy Kuemper, along with announcer Tom Reid. It was HOT outside. We were all dressed in warmer clothes for the open skating starting a half hour after the start of the Wild event.

Sam has grasped how to skate by practicing rollerblading over the last two summers. Ice skating is pretty much the same. Seth on the other hand hasn't been as quick to learn. He ice skates better than roller skates. He tends to walk his feet along the ice rather than gliding motions. Progress was made, that's for sure.

I miss the arena life and wish my kids had an interest in hockey.
